Aljean Taylor, age 84, a longtime resident of Oak Park passed away on November 29, 2020. Aljean was born in Tennessee and moved to the Chicago area when she was very young. She graduated from McKinley High School in Chicago. Following high school, she married Garfield Taylor. Aljean and Garfield were married for over 47 years before his passing. Aljean worked for Illinois Bell Telephone Company for over 35 years before her retirement. She is survived by her daughter Janice and was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey. Other survivors include her grandchildren and great-grandson, along with many many other relatives. Visitation Thursday Dec. 3 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park. Due to current COVID 19 restrictions, a maximum of 10 people at a time will be allowed in the funeral home. To allow for others to pay their respects and to allow for social distancing we ask that people pay their respects and move on to allow others the opportunity. Masks are required. Visitation Friday 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at Garfield Park Community Worship Center, 4100 W. Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60624. In lieu of flowers, donations to Garfield Park Community Worship Center (www.gparise.com) are appreciated.
