Flanagan, age 94, of Oak Park, veteran U.S. Navy, WW II; beloved husband and best friend of the late Margaret M. nee Walsh; loving father of Maureen (Charles Radding), Brigid (James) Brooks, Timothy (Mary), James (Colleen), Margaret (Jack Traficano), Loretta (Matthew) Daly, Stephen (Ann), Colette (James Walsh) and the late Daniel (Kathy) and Michael Flanagan; cherished grandfather of Sarah (Edward Zarecor) and Jonah (Ashley Telman) Radding, Margaret Mary (fiancé Tom Harvey) Flanagan, Gabrielle and Martin Flanagan, Gwendolyn (Dan) Munroe and Clare and Ellen Brooks, Emily (Campy) Campbell, Kerry, Ethan and Maura Flanagan, Megan (Erik) Faust, Daniel, Mary Kate and Jack Traficano, Ian, Erin and Kayla Flanagan, and Henry Flanagan; great-grandfather of 12; dear brother of Catherine (the late Tom) Zeller and the late Patrick (the late Ruth), Rev. Neal, O.S.M. and SR. Patricia Mary Flanagan S.N.D., Loretta (the late Bernard) Sarahan and John (the late Colleen) Flanagan; fond uncle of many. Visitation Saturday 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11 a.m. at St. Edmund Church, 188 S. Oak Park Ave., Oak Park, IL. Private interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls 1140 W. Jackson Blvd. Chicago, IL, 60607 or (mercyhome.org) are appreciated.
