Obituary for Kathleen Hennessey

Kathleen Hennessey nee Dorn, age 68, of Oak Park; beloved wife of Michael Hennessey; loving mother of Beth Hennessey (Michael Piskur), Bridget (Thomas) Sibo, Jane (James) Watson and John Hennessey; cherished grandmother Maya Hennessey, Makenzie, Fiona and Savannah Sibo, and James and Avery Watson; dear sister of Mary Ann (Luca) Campo, Margaret (James) Smalley and John (Kate) Dorn; fond aunt, cousin and friend of many. Kathleen retired in 2011 after many years of teaching, most recently in the Berwyn Public schools and before that, Ascension Catholic School in Oak Park. Visitation Wednesday 3 to 9 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home, 203 S. Marion St., Oak Park. Friends and family will meet at St. Giles Church, 1045 Columbian Ave., Oak Park on Thursday for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) are appreciated.
