Obituary for Ruey Gene Angellotti

Ruey Gene (Culbertson) Angellotti, born February 26, 1950, age 66, died unexpectedly of a heart attack on the afternoon of Monday, December 12, 2016 at the home that she was sharing with her love, Eddie Blake, in Chicago, IL.

Ruey is preceded in death by her parents James V. and Carol Culbertson, her step-mom Barbara Culbertson, her brother Charles C. Culbertson, her sister Carolyn Culbertson, her sister-in-law Sharon Culbertson, her husband Thomas L. Angellotti, Sr., and her step-son Thomas L. Angellotti, Jr.

She is survived by, and will be greatly missed by, her brother James H. Culbertson, her sister Karen Guevara, her sister-in-law Cathy (Vance) Roden, her step-son Tim (Karen) Angellotti, her step-daughter-in-law Kris Angellotti, her grandchildren (Cara, McKenna, Vincent, and Olivia Angellotti), and her nieces and nephews (Dawn (Michael) Gonzalez, James E. (Shelly) Culbertson, Becky (Ed) Lewis, Charles (Jeri) Culbertson, Charles (Belinda) Guevara, Peggy (Anthony) Guien, Delfino (Angie) Guevara and Maria Guevara). In addition to her big extended family, she will also be greatly missed by her many close friends.

Ruey held a variety of interesting jobs over her life, met many interesting people, and had lots of interesting stories to tell. Almost all of those stories involved a lot of laughter. She had many hobbies including crafting, traveling, and following professional sports. She especially loved watching the sports and other activities of her grandchildren and other young family members. Her big, booming voice will be missed on the sidelines. Her laughter and love will be missed by all.

The family will conduct a private cremation this weekend and burial at a later date. No flowers please. If inclined, a donation can be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
